Physical Therapist " Sure , pain is the perception and / or the reaction of your body to any injury, inflammation or disease , your body perceives pain peripherally from external stimulus or centrally trhough your brain. Physical therapist uses different techniques & tools as appropriate to treat the pain and cause of the pain. This tools & techniques include but are not limited to :
1) Exercise & Relaxation techniques
2) Mobilization & dry needling techniques
3) Electrical modalities like TENS, estim , heat , cold , ultrasound, Iontophoresis , traction , hydrotherapy , etc
4) Taping, cupping , fascial release

Clinician " Yes, Ohio allows direct patient access to physical therapy with some provisions. A PT may treat direct access patients when:
The physical therapist has at least two years of experience or a master's degree.
The physical therapist notifies the patient's doctor of the PT evaluation within five days of it taking place.
If the patient does not show progress within 30 days, the PT must refer the patient to an appropriate healthcare provider.
The PT may only apply specific orthotic devices.
